Sakura Bloom, California

What’s the story?

For just shy of four years I was the in-house Media Coordinator for Sakura Bloom. Whether I was documenting behind the scenes, producing and executing lifestyle photoshoots, or filming instructional videos, this rare position allowed every asset of theirs to have a cohesive branded look.

FROM OUR HANDS TO YOURS

Don’t let the niche “baby carrier” industry fool you, at Sakura Bloom we were BUS-Y. Since every product is cut, sewn and dyed in San Diego/ LA, this mean we could craft intentional batches and limited edition runs. With a massive cult following, online and in stores, this meant I had at least one major product launch per month. Aside from the constant grind, our workflow slimmed down our textile waste, allowed us to pay attention to every detail, and create campaigns that were on brand.

IN HOUSE “EVERYTHING”

Being a small company, with an even smaller marketing team, I had the creative freedom to organize all aspects of a campaign: Hiring models, MUAs, and stylists. Overall production and administrative work, and of course my favorite part, directing, photographing, and editing.
